A meaningful reminder for the journey of faith.
Originally created as a one-of-a-kind commissioned painting for a client, Guide Us to the Straight Path has since become one of my best-selling art prints.
The painting captures the Kaaba at the heart of Makkah, surrounded by expressive brushstrokes of deep blue, soft white and touches of gold. The loose, painterly movement creates a sense of light, movement and atmosphere, while the Kaaba remains at the centre — a place our hearts turn towards, wherever we are in the world.
Above it, the words اهدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ المُستَقِيم “Guide us to the Straight Path” remind us of the dua we repeat throughout our daily prayers: a simple plea for Allah to guide our hearts, our choices and our journey.
There is something deeply emotional about bringing this reminder into your home, especially after returning from Hajj or Umrah, or as a gift for someone about to embark on that sacred journey.
A piece to look at, remember and quietly make dua with.
